You can use an Excel spreadsheet to import a cycle of targets to Skynamo.
Attached is the template, but in this article you will be taken through each column and taught which information to input where.
1. User
This is the unique email address linked to the user you want to assign the target to.
To find the users email address: Go to the Users tab. Hover over the user's name with your cursor and click on the blue pencil icon:
Their email address will be displayed under "E-mail"
2. Date:
This is the month the target applies to. For now, we only accommodate monthly assigned targets
The format is: Year/Month/Day (e.g. 2025/10/01)
3. Period:
The period displays which timeframe the target is set for. As we currently only accommodate Monthly targets - this column should be put as Monthly.
4. Target Type:
The target type is the category of target you'd like to set.
You can select between the following 5 options:
- Visits - This will create a target based on amount of visits
- Quotes - This will create a target based on the quote amounts
- Orders - This will create a target based on the order amounts
- Invoices - This invoice amount is based on Skynamo's calculations (i.e. invoice amount of all customers assigned to user). If you have a different way of calculating invoice values, you should create a custom target for invoices.
- Custom - This will create a target where you can choose what it is based off
5. Target name:
This field is only required if “Custom” was inserted in the Target Type column.
If you did not insert "Custom" in the Target Type column, you must leave the Target name blank.
Custom Targets can be used to keep track of anything that does not get counted by Skynamo. So the Target name is a text label for anything you wish to measure, i.e., Kilograms sold, Litres sold, Customers onboarded, Sales per product or product category, etc.
6. Target:
You can enter the target value the user needs to achieve here. Please only use numbers and values, no currency symbols must be used.
For example: If the user's target is to reach R75,000.00 through orders, the target column will be filled in as 75000
7. Action:
The action lets you decide what you would like to do with the target, there are 3 options to input.
Add: To create a new target
Update: To update an existing target
Delete: To remove an existing target
Please note: You do not need to create the same target for every single month. If you do not supply new values for the following period, we will reuse the target values from the previous period. This will continue until new targets have been imported.
Example: If you import targets for January, but not for February, we will copy the January targets and use them again on all the following months, until new data is received.
The targets will be displayed on the users devices as seen below:
