How to set up your device and log into Skynamo for the first time - Android

This article will show you how to set up your device and log into Skynamo on your Android device. If you haven't managed to download Skynamo please see how to download Skynamo here: Installing/Updating Skynamo - Android


To set up your device:

- Make sure location is on:

  • Check if location is on for the device. Either by dragging down the taskbar or by going to Settings > Location > Turn on.
  • Improve accuracy should be enabled to use Wi-Fi and Bluetooth: Settings -> Location -> Location services -> Switch Wi-Fi scanning and Bluetooth scanning on


 

- The app needs at least 15% of the total storage to save data on your device. 

Check your available storage space and delete apps and files until you have more than 15% of free storage on your device:

- Settings > Battery and Device Care> Storage > Available space > Ensure that you have at least 15% of space available


- Turn off your battery-saver/ power-saving mode:

Settings > Battery and device care > Battery > Switch power-saving mode/battery saver OFF

 

– Check location permissions for Skynamo:

  • Settings > Apps > Skynamo > Permissions > Location > Allow all the time
  • Settings > Apps > Skynamo > Permissions > Physical Activity > Allowed


– Turn off battery optimization for Skynamo:

Settings > Apps  > Skynamo > Battery > Optimize battery usage > tap on "Apps not optimized" > switch to "All apps" > Find Skynamo and Maps and turn the option OFF:

OR 


Settings -> Apps  -> Skynamo -> Battery -> Unrestricted


 

- Turn on location permissions for maps:

Settings > Apps > Maps > Permissions > Location > Allow all the time

Settings > Apps > Maps > Permission > Physical activity > Allow


- Turn off battery optimization for Maps:

Settings > Apps  > Maps > Battery > Optimize battery usage > tap on "Apps not optimized" > switch to "All apps" > Find Skynamo and Maps and turn the option OFF:

OR 


Settings -> Apps  -> Maps -> Battery -> Unrestricted



- Update your software:

Settings > Software update > Download and install > Install update. If it says "Software is up to date" then you can skip this step.


To log into Skynamo:


- After the app is downloaded navigate to the Skynamo icon on your device to open the app.


  - On the first login screen, type in the email address associated with your Skynamo account. You can find this information in the Welcome email that was sent to you.

  - On the second login page, enter your organization name. Your organization name will also be provided in your Welcome email. Then click on Continue.

  - On the third login page, your email address should be pre-filled in. Enter the password that you have set up for yourself, then click Continue.

- Once you have signed in, select the “Start my day” button:

- Click on the sync button made up of the two arrows to start your initial sync and download all your required data onto your Skynamo app.

  Skynamo will now download all your data to your device!


The initial sync is usually quite large, so please leave your device on charge and connected to a strong internet connection until the sync is completed. You would see it forms a little pie chart that needs to be filled up completely.


DISCLAIMER: You will need to fully complete this initial sync before you will be able to view your customers or any other information on your Skynamo app. Please also make sure the sync is completed before you start to do any work otherwise your sync might get stuck.


  You can also force a sync anytime by clicking on the Sync icon.
