Skynamo's integration with Sage Evolution leverages a combination of direct database querying and SDK (Software Development Kit) functionality to ensure seamless connectivity and data exchange between the two platforms.
To enable one-way integration from Sage Evolution to Skynamo, we utilize a direct database querying application to extract data from the SQL database. This approach does not necessitate a Sage Evolution SDK Connector license; it simply requires an SQL user with read access to the SQL database.
For clients seeking the capability to push orders, quotes, and credit requests from Skynamo back into Sage Evolution, we utilize the Sage Evolution SDK. This method entails the client acquiring a Sage Evolution SDK Connector license from Sage, which involves an annual fee payable directly to Sage.
Due to the complexity of the setup, we typically handle the server-side setup ourselves using remote access through TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or RDP. If we are provided with the necessary remote access credentials, we will:
- Install our Sage Evolution Integration tool, which includes a file transfer mechanism.
- Configure the integration tool.
- Set up Windows Tasks or a Service to run scheduled imports and exports in the background.
For a quick installation, we need the following credentials:
- Remote access details to your Sage Evolution server (TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or RDP)
- Windows username & password (of a Windows user with administrator rights to set up background tasks and services)
- Sage Evolution database server IP/name
- Sage Evolution database name
- SQL username & password
