Skynamo integrates with SAP Business One using two methods, depending on the SAP version.
For SQL versions of SAP, where only one-way integration from SAP to Skynamo is needed, we use a direct database querying application to extract data from the SQL database. This method does not require an SAP user or license; it only requires a SQL user with read access to the SAP SQL database.
For clients using SAP with HANA or those using SQL versions of SAP but requiring the ability to push orders, quotes, and credit requests from Skynamo into SAP, we use the SAP SDK (DI API). This method requires an indirect SAP user license with the appropriate permissions for the SAP company being integrated.
Due to the complexity of the setup, we typically handle the server-side setup ourselves using remote access through TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or RDP. If you provide the necessary remote access credentials, we will:
- Install our SAP Integration tool, which includes a file transfer mechanism.
- Configure the integration tool.
- Set up Windows Tasks or a Service to run scheduled imports and exports in the background.
For a quick installation, we need the following credentials:
- Remote access details to your SAP server (TeamViewer, AnyDesk or RDP)
- Windows username (of a Windows user with administrator rights to set up background tasks and services)
- Windows password (of the user above)
- SAP B1 database type (SQL/HANA)
- SAP B1 database name
- SQL/HANA Username
- SQL/HANA Password
- SAP Server IP/Hostname and Port
- SAP SLD Server IP/Hostname and Port
- SAP License Server IP/Hostname and Port
- SAP Username
- SAP Password
